Medal, 6.3 Cm, Vatican 1665, Alexander VII, Early Edition
Artist: Art Italien
A beautiful, fairly light bronze medal depicting Pope Alexander VII and dated 1665?
On the reverse, Santa Maria Assunta, the parish church designed between 1661 and 1665 by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, is shown; located on centre of Ariccia town, on land belonging to the family of Pope Alexander VII.
This medal is not of exceptional casting quality, as you can see, a little grainy and poorly struck, but it is not common.
An early edition, possibly from period.
