Rare 18th-century solid silver round platter from Reims, featuring a pattern of fillets and a monogrammed rim. The platter is also monogrammed in small characters on the back with the reference number 1. It bears the charge mark (crowned S) and discharge mark (head) of the Reims jurisdiction, the town hall mark for Reims circa 1772 (crowned V), and the hallmarks of the silversmith Nicolas Levasseur, admitted in 1759. This rare round platter from Reims is in very good condition and remarkably hallmarked, with only minor scratches from use. Please disregard any reflections in the photos.
