Notes: A rare model based on “Petrushka” by Igor Stravinsky, first performed by Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes in Berlin in December 1912. Scheurich probably saw one of the performances, but did not model this porcelain group until April 1930. However, it was not included in the Meissen selling catalogues of the manufactory, with only three white examples sold in 1943, until this edition in the second third of the 20th century.
