Inlaid Round Table, Rolo Area (emilia), First Half Of The 19th Century
Elegant round table from the first half of the 19th century, attributable to the Rolo area, a region renowned for the high quality of its cabinetmaking and its refined tradition of wood inlay. The top, of generous diameter (88.5 cm) — unusually large for this type of table — is entirely decorated with rich geometric marquetry, featuring a sophisticated three-dimensional cube pattern with an almost French-inspired taste. The decoration is achieved through the skilful use of fine woods such as walnut, maple and cherry. The composition is further enhanced by an elaborate sequence of concentric inlaid bands that extend across the entire surface and border, creating depth and visual harmony. The table stands on an elegant turned central pedestal, resting on a four-legged shaped base with flowing lines, characteristic of late Neoclassical and early Romantic taste. With a height of 79 cm, the proportions are particularly well balanced. The piece has been carefully restored with full respect for the original materials and is now ready for use in a domestic interior.A later structural modification is present at the junction between the pedestal and the top: the original screw is blocked, and a discreet technical solution was introduced to allow the table to be dismantled, without affecting its stability, functionality or historical integrity.Dimensions:Diameter 88.5 cm – Height 79 cmFor further information, photographs or technical details, please do not hesitate to contact us.
