Walnut Chest With Iron Fittings Pierced With Crosses – Northern Italy, Late 16th – Early 17th C
Small walnut chest, solidly built and richly adorned with wrought-iron fittings, including long lance-shaped straps and decorative studs, many of them pierced or engraved with cross motifs.These features suggest an original clerical or monastic use, possibly as a sacristy chest or ecclesiastical storage coffer.

Overall condition good and stable.
