Gothic Chest, France, 15th Century
Rare Gothic wedding chest from the early 15th century, made of walnut wood, featuring panels carved with single- and double-lancet windows and panels decorated with tempera painting, bearing combined coats of arms of noble families, supported by winged dragons and dogs. One is surmounted by a unicorn, the other by a castle. In excellent condition.
