"19th-century Marquetry Box For Jewelry, Sewing, Or Small Items, With Detached Columns. "
A beautiful Louis Philippe period mahogany and lemonwood marquetry box. Its lid is slightly domed, the corners are adorned with twisted, detached columns, and the interior has clearly been relined with a pink moiré fabric that is still in pristine condition. There are two very minor losses to the marquetry inlay on the front (see photo).
