Earthenware Serving Dish With Special Asparagus Slip
Very original and unusual, this is a very pretty presentation dish for asparagus, as you can see from the trompe l'oeil of the purple-tipped vegetables on the raised flat base, accompanied by a rococo surround in a beautiful harmony of colors. On the reverse side of the dish is a recessed inscription of H S and a number 23 written in black, but no indication of manufacture. To be dated around 1900.
