"Starfish Paperweight By Claude Picasso For Christofle 1992"
Inside, a small bell emits a light chirping sound and that's not all, with its shape and its fanciful details, this paperweight intrigues and surprises. It is part of the artistic movement born in the eighties called the "Barbarian Style" established by the gallery "En Attendant les Barbares", characterized by the work of high-end craftsmen and erasing the boundaries between the artist and the designer. The couple Garouste & Bonetti was the spearhead of this movement. Claude Picasso, Pablo's son, created this silver-plated paperweight for Christofle and was sent to VIPs by the manufacturer with good wishes for 1992.
