19th-century Glove-duster Made Of Turned Boxwood
Extremely useful—if not indispensable—in the 19th century, these talc dispensers allowed users to apply talcum powder to the fingers of gloves thanks to their long spouts. This made it easy for ladies to slip on their kidskin gloves. This particular piece is made of turned boxwood in three parts that fit together using threaded joints. The patina has been beautifully enhanced by time—one of the charms of boxwood, which ages so well and delights us.
