Louis XV Style Chest Of Drawers In Red Lacquer, Circa 1900
A Louis XV style red lacquer commode, circa 1900. With a bombé front, it features two rows of drawers without a central divider. The bronze mounts adorning the uprights, drawer escutcheons, and apron have a polished finish. The lacquer, in the Far Eastern style, is decorated with pagodas, cranes, landscapes, and scenes of daily life in gold against a red background. The Aleppo marble top has been restored in the center and on one corner. In good condition, with minor lacquer restoration by a professional. Provenance: Villa Saint-Christophe, La Baule.
