Louis XVI Style White Carrara Marble Fireplace, Late 19th Century
A Louis XVI style fireplace in white Carrara marble, circa 1890. The straight jambs feature a wide console or scroll. A carved rosette adorns each end, and the lintel is recessed in the middle along its entire length. The mantel top includes its lower shelf. Note some damage to the marble mantel top, and a few yellowing spots on the sides and the top itself (see photos). H 106 x W 136 x D 36 cm.
