A Transition period commode from the 18th century, crafted from marquetry wood and stamped by Martin Ohneberg, born in 1738. This renowned cabinetmaker was admitted as a Master on July 7, 1773, and operated a workshop on Rue Traversière Saint-Antoine in Paris and in the courtyard of the Jewish quarter. His work is in the Transition and Louis XVI styles. This commode, with two drawers and no central rail, features a projecting central section and rear projections. It is veneered with a rich marquetry of precious woods and floral decoration. It boasts beautiful gilt bronze mounts and a gray veined Sainte Anne marble top. This piece has been restored and French polished. Dimensions: 1.29m x 0.61m x 0.88m high. Delivery upon request.
