"Marquetry Crossbow-shaped Commode, 18th Century "
A Louis XV commode, curved on all sides, in a bow-fronted shape, veneered in rosewood and violet wood with geometric decoration and butterfly wings, within a central cartouche of shaped form. It opens in the front with two drawers without a central divider. It rests on cabriole legs, fitted with gilt bronze sabots. The drawer pulls are in the form of foliage in gilt and chased bronze. Its top is a very thick marble slab, bow-fronted with a corbel edge. It measures 149 cm in length, 58 cm in depth, and 89 cm in height. It is in very good condition.
