Large Louis XVI Support Cabinet, In Mahogany and Mahogany Veneer, Directoire Period, End of the 18th Century. Its originality comes from its Two Doors simulating a library of False books, paneled and surrounded by Gilt Bronze Nets. It also has Two Large Drawers on the front, with openwork lock entries in Gilt Bronze. The interior of the Doors is covered with beige Leather. Its Uprights are Fluted. It is topped with a very refined Blue Turquin Marble from Italy, very thick and surrounded by a Groove all around. It rests on 6 Feet finished with Gilt Bronze Sabots. Its sides are compartmentalized, separated by gilt bronze nets. The Frame is in oak. Large Dimensions for this very original piece of furniture, worthy of a Great Cabinetmaker.
