This pair of Chinese porcelain vases features a refined blue background decorated with polychrome enamel flowers and birds arranged in hand-painted cartouches. The elegant and balanced baluster shape is adorned with small decorative side handles. The underside bears a red mark, "Da Qing Jiaqing nian zhi," an honorific inscription. The pair is in the style of productions from the late Qing dynasty or early Republican period (late 19th – early 20th century), inspired by classical imperial porcelain. These vases make a beautiful decorative piece.
