Alfred Dubucand (1828–1894) was a French animal sculptor, renowned for his realistic works depicting animals and Orientalist scenes. Born in Paris, he was a student of Antoine-Louis Barye, the undisputed master of animal sculpture in the 19th century. Dubucand exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes français from 1867 to 1883, where he was rewarded for the anatomical precision and realism of his bronzes, often small in format.
