A set of shako decorations for an officer of the 100th Line Infantry Regiment. Grenadier. Type 1804 plate, First Empire. Made of gilt brass, stamped in relief and cut in the shape of a crowned imperial eagle holding in its talons the shining thunderbolt of Jupiter. It rests on a rectangular base bordered by a double raised molding and stamped in relief with the number "100". In good condition, the plate has never been cleaned and retains 80% of its gilding. The chin straps consist of a soft leather chin strap covered in black velvet and adorned with scales cut into quarter-sawn scallops with round rosettes stamped in the center with a grenade on a sandblasted background and bordered by a raised molding; 100% gilding. Tricolor cockade for the shako, in tricolor braid; white, red, and blue in the center. Very good condition. First Empire. France.
