Ebony handle with molded edges, decorated with two silver lozenges on each side; silver crossguard with curled quillons; silver ferrule; pommel in the shape of a dog's head with a silver chain. 50 cm long, white blade with a single fuller. Wooden scabbard with leather and three silver fittings (open at the edge of the scabbard). Overall length 67.5 cm. All elements are hallmarked. France. 18th century.
