At the center of the composition is the young woman, richly dressed in a grapefruit-colored gown with white sleeves and a light-blue skirt, cinched by a belt adorned with a pearl. Around her neck she wears a small ruff, while a page places a straw hat upon her head. The young lady holds a bundle of wheat in one arm, while with her right hand she presents a plate of seasonal fruit: peaches and cherries. On the left side of the painting, a bouquet of flowers emerges from a precious polychrome porcelain vase. The canvas, in excellent condition, is a complex pictorial exercise combining both portraiture and still life.
Based on the style and color palette used, it is believed that the painting was executed within the Venetian milieu during the 18th century. The painting is presented in its original frame.
