An elegant mythological clock in mercury-gilt bronze, dating from the Restoration period, circa 1820. It features a large standing figure of the goddess Flora with flowers in her hair, holding a piece of fruit. A cornucopia adorned with flowers and grapes is depicted on the clock's movement. A column on the right supports a vase of flowers. A small Bacchus surrounded by vines is featured on the central plaque. The rectangular base is decorated with grape wreaths. This highly decorative clock, with its rich ornamentation and mythological figure, is of high quality, showcasing exquisite chasing and beautiful mercury gilding. The wire-driven movement is in perfect working order, having been restored by our clockmaker. Two keys are included. Worldwide shipping is available.
