I have only 42 cm wide and 39 cm high to try and move you with this polychrome plaster bust of an old man who undoubtedly lived through the Great War… It is the profound melancholy in his gaze that touches me. The mustache typical of the time is not enough to bring any smile to his face, so heavily does he bear the weight of humanity's immeasurable folly. An anonymous sculpture, a testament to the great skill of its creator.
