A Rather Important Mourning Keepsake In Applied Hair From 1848

In its original large stained wood frame, with a gilt bronze rim and its original convex protective glass, here is a memorial keepsake made entirely of hair. It consists of a large central loop around which are two cartouches depicting, on one side, the deceased's tomb and on the other, the inscription, also made of hair, "Ernestine de St Germain, wife of Minard, died July 6, 1848."
