Oval Tray In Wood And Silver Marquetry
This tray is of fine quality, it is made of mahogany with a marquetry decoration producing a trompe l'oeil effect thanks to precious essences such as lemon for example. Its rim is reinforced by a silver hoop, hallmark to be defined (see photos), molded with a wave motif. The bottom is also reinforced by brass strapping, further proof that this is a serious, well-made piece of craftsmanship. Date from the second half of the 19th century.
