A 19th-century holy water font for personal use, designed to be hung by one’s bedside for making the sign of the cross in the morning and at night. It is made of black marble with an ornate design and features an enameled, cloisonné, and engraved bronze cross; this cross is also set with a miniature medallion of Jesus made of painted porcelain. It is worth noting—and this is rare—that this holy water font still has its blue glass cup.
