Very interesting frame recounting a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and made from memories collected at the various holy places. These were highlighted by watercolor compositions. Two wax seals with the cross. Object in its “juice” never deframed. The watercolored parts were enhanced with gum arabic which caused cracks over time. Paper slightly yellowed. Original frame, accidents to the frame. The whole 19th century period. Dimensions with frame: 43 x 31 cm
