Convent work entitled "Saint Joan" by Mademoiselle Marie Pujolan at the Convent of Colomiers.
Bearing a cartouche on the frame "To my Dear Mother".
Original frame with floral and foliage motifs, in wood and stucco with gold leaf, double patina.
The face of the Saint, as well as her hands and Christ, are made of cut cardboard.
The whole is a hand-embroidered tapestry, with the addition of glass beads on the border surrounding the figure.
The jewelry, the rosary, and the edge of the tunic are made of beads.
The rosary cross was created in black thread and gold beads.
Numerous applications of velvet, rhinestones, etc.
Sublime work of great finesse, a very luminous and fresh piece.
Regarding its condition, there are losses of wool on some flowers; traces of this wool can be seen in some places under the period glass.
The frame is in good overall condition, with some losses and signs of wear.
There is some fragility (a crack) on the pediment (traces of a previous restoration).
The piece as a whole remains in very good condition and its size is rare.
