Vintage Jewelry - Pendant And Earrings Set - Attributed To The Jeweler Louis Rousselet

A high-quality costume jewelry set attributed to Louis Rousselt (1892-1980). Born in a working-class neighborhood of Paris, he began his career as an apprentice in a bead factory. His personality, talent, and artistic inclinations propelled him beyond the role of a mere employee. In 1920, he established his own fashion house and workshops. His talent was quickly recognized, and he collaborated with leading names in haute couture during the interwar period.

The set comprises a pendant and matching earrings. The medallion consists of a glass paste (?) base surmounted by a shaped gilt metal crown, upon which two rows of red glass beads form a rosette topped with an ornate gilt metal piece, which holds a tiny glass cabochon.

The earrings are adorned at the top with small floral bouquets, combining delicate black glass paste roses with gilt drops and chased metal leaves. At the bottom, a rosette can be seen, formed of black glass paste stamen anthers and gilded drops at the tips.

Condition : The medallion has some chips around the edge, and two or three beads are missing from the surrounding rosary. On one of the earrings, the clip has been replaced by a jeweler (the original clip is included and will be added to the set). A red bell is missing.
