Dimensions:

Very elegant pair of armchairs resting on four sabre legs, with solid, curved front panels, curved armrests, and Etruscan-style backs. Palmette motif carved on either side of the armrests. These chairs owe their name to the particular shape of their armrest supports, designed so that officers' sabers could be placed on the side when they were seated.
Condition report:
Carpentry without play, reupholstered using traditional methods, and covered with tobacco-colored silk damask with flowers. Minor restorations due to normal wear and tear.
