Quadrille game box, complete with its four boxes decorated in arte povera, period second half of the 18th century. Numerous cutouts of colored engravings, glued on a yellow background then varnished, according to the technique called arte povera. Main subject featuring characters in a garden, imaginary ruins, vegetation, birds etc. Each decoration is different, both on the lid and on each inner box. Obvious wear and lacks, especially on the main box, also missing golden friezes and/or flowers in the corners (look carefully at the photos). The inner boxes are in fairly good condition. Interior compartmentalized to receive the four boxes, covered with a beautiful bayadere silk, scattered stains visible. The interior of the domed lid is fitted with a padded pale pink silk to protect the boxes, a visible stain in the center. Original cut brass hinges and hook clasp. Small silk ribbon to hold the lid. I present this object to you in the state of discovery, very authentic with photos that I hope are as "sincere" as possible. Despite the defects mentioned, this box remains a beautiful witness of its time. Do not hesitate to contact me for more details. Delivery for mainland France: €15. Other destinations: contact me
