                    Psyche forming a 19th century table mirror from the Napoleon III period (height 68 cm X 47 cm wide) structure in thick Baccarat crystal depicting a caryatid (model listed under No. 4628 in the 1870 catalog of the Baccarat crystal factory) supporting a beveled oval mirror set in a gilt bronze frame flanked by two pivoting light arms connected by chains, the upper part has a leafy pediment with the figure of a mascaron of Apollo. Note that this caryatid is inspired by one of the models by the sculptor Pierre Charles Simart (1806-1857) which adorn the Palais du Louvre at the level of the Sully pavilion
