19th Century Movement Mirror In Golden Brass With Flower Applique Motifs And A Bird
Beautiful old mirror from the 19th century, in the shape of a horseshoe, in gilded brass with applied motifs of a bird in flight and a flowering branch. Its perimeter is animated forming undulations like a ribbon; the thick mirror with a beveled edge has a mercury tin, it is underlined by a frieze like a line of pearls. On the reverse a suspension ring allows its attachment.
The stain has some imperfections from age but which add quite nicely to the character of the object.
