Wooden Mortar
Interesting monoxyl mortar, probably made of chestnut, from the 19th century. Thick-walled bowl, very solid to withstand the blows of the pestle. Strong handle with a beautiful patina which attests to authentic use. Alpine work? Found around Briançon... Some old cracks, the whole remains however robust. Weight: 1.992 Kgs.
