Uncommon revolver "DAVID HERMAND" in caliber 380, XIXth century. Hallmark "ELG de LIEGE" Belgium. Percussion revolver with open frame and octagonal barrel with 14 cm rifled interior. The two parts frame and barrel are separate and fixed to each other in the manner of COLT, first by means of a robust barrel axis and by screwing the barrel block to the beak of the frame. Numbered frame. Half-moon front sight. On the left side a Beaumont Adams type cocking lever and a safety key intended to prevent the hammer from reaching the chimneys. A thin plate protrudes at the top of the frame far enough to completely cover the chimney. Device intended to protect the shooter against a possible fragment of capsule projected backwards.
