"The Guardian American Model 1878" pocket revolver with a folding trigger.
Smooth cylinder bearing the inscription mentioned above, an "ELG ETOILE" hallmark within an oval (Liège, 1811–1893), and a star-marked "E".
On the outer side, the number 3 is marked at the entrance to the chambers.
Caliber 7 mm with a capacity of 6 rounds
Octagonal barrel with a sight bearing a star-marked “E” hallmark on the right side, and the interior of the barrel is rifled.
Serial number 3 is stamped on the barrel at the level of the frame, on the trigger guard marked with a star-shaped “E.”
Side panel on the right side, hinged downward.
Corbin-style stock with walnut grips secured by a through-screw.
Ejection rod on the right side of the barrel.
Mechanism in working order.
