Salon Shooting Pistol With Liège Hallmark XIX Sdc26pst004

Parlor shooting pistol with Liège proof mark SDC26PST004. A beautiful weapon dating from the second half of the 19th century. At that time, people didn't hesitate to shoot at targets in their living rooms... In good condition, made around 1860. Caliber 5.5 mm (muzzle diameter checked). For small, single-base round ball cartridges. Rimfire cartridge. Capacity: 1 shot. Length approximately 39 cm. Barrel length approximately 24.5 cm. Height approximately 10 cm. Caliber, muzzle diameter 5.5 mm. Barrel in good condition, sound and smooth bore. Central or rimfire firing pin, large diameter. Note: the firing pin spring is missing or jammed. However, the firing pin is perfectly functional; to use it, it must be manually recoiled. A small, simple repair may be necessary. Note that the firing pin is located in the extractor block; the extractor is in excellent condition and fully functional. The hammer and its spring are in perfect condition. The wood is in very good condition, perfectly solid and unbroken. The grip is substantial with an excellent hold. All the sights are present and in good condition. The metal parts are sound and have a beautiful overall patina. A collector's item, or one that could still be operational and used at a shooting range or indoors at home... This firearm is legal to fire, classified as a Category D firearm, which does not require a permit to purchase. I am not selling bullets, ammunition, or powder; all of these can be found at a regular gun shop and cost only a few euros... PLEASE NOTE: Do not ask this type of question. If this firearm accepts .22LR ammunition, you could be reported immediately. I do not condone the misuse of antique firearms. Obviously, .22LR ammunition CANNOT be fired from this firearm, unless you want to get the firing pin in your eye...
