Perhaps this watch inspired Jaeger-LeCoultre?
An elegant men’s watch from the 1930s with beautiful proportions.
A beautiful creation by ARIS: a mechanical watch from the 1920s–1930s, made in France
By Arthur Israël >>> ARIS
The ARIS brand is part of the history of 20th-century French watchmaking.
The company Établissements Aris emerged in the wake of the Arthur Israël company and operated the ARIS brand beginning in the 1920s.
The brand is notably linked to the watchmaking centers of Villers-le-Lac and Morteau, in the Haut-Doubs, a historic region of the French watchmaking industry.
Établissements Aris also maintained a commercial presence in Paris, while continuing its operations in Morteau throughout the mid-20th century.
A watch of modest dimensions, suitable for everyday wear, a timeless model...
A fine watch, fully serviced by a professional watchmaker
All original parts
Dimensions - Dimensions
Case 24 x 40 mm excluding the crown

Accuracy
The watch has been tested and is accurate to within a few minutes over the course of a day.
Please note that with vintage watches, buyers should expect to adjust the time (if it runs fast or slow)—a procedure that must be performed exclusively by a professional at the buyer’s expense. Indeed, during shipping (even though the package will be fully protected, this simple, standard adjustment may be necessary, even though the watch has already been serviced and is being sold in serviced condition)

Only “ARIS” marked on the dial
Dial in generally good condition; see photos
Skeleton hands in good condition and original.
Crown
Original, functional for setting the time and winding, in fairly good condition.
Case and bezel
Made of chrome-plated stainless steel, with a few scratches (see photos)

Strap
Original, still sturdy and functional, made of leather, ideally should be replaced...
A good investment for a collectible watch from the 1920s/1930s...
Given its age—approximately 100 years—this watch should not be submerged (for safety reasons...)
We do NOT guarantee ANY watch against submersion; we sell collectible items, and the buyer must take care of them...
We NEVER provide maintenance or servicing invoices, as we do not disclose the contact information of our watchmakers.
Servicing is performed free of charge.
Fast and well-protected shipping
