Cylindrical stoneware MUG with polychrome decoration painted on a brown background with a frieze of figures representing the twelve Apostles. The central medallion of the pewter lid with a "ball" thumbscrew shows a foot-washing scene with a German inscription.
Hallmarks on the pewter lid:
1° - Crowned X / 1710.
2° - Key and dagger in saltire / 1711.
3° - Hallmark of an unidentified master.
Height: 23.4 cm.
CREUSSEN, Very early 18th century.
