Pastel on paper mounted on canvas "the bridge over the Loing and the tower of Ganne seen from the bank" signed lower right P.Ingelrans. French school. 47.4 X 63.6 cm visible (49.5 X 65.6 cm overall). Paul Léon Henri Ingelrans (1868-1923) was a student of Alexandre Cabanel (1823-1889), Elie Delaunay (1828-1891) and Gustave Moreau (1826-1898). He was a member of the French Artists and exhibited at the Salon of this society canvases of very conscientious execution, with clever effects of light and backlighting. He was curator of the museum of Rochefort-sur-Mer, which has one of his compositions dated 1900: Young Girl Holding a Venetian Lantern. Sources: Schur Dictionary of Little Masters of Painting.
