Hercule Louis Catenacci was born in Ferrara (Italy) in 1816 and died in Paris (France) in 1884. He studied in Bologna and Rome and had to leave Italy for political reasons. After a stay in Greece, notably in Corfu and then in the Orient, he settled in France, in Paris and was nationalized French. He exhibited at the Salons of 1869 and 1870. Unframed. Stains and sunburn.
