Fontana La Vierge A La Chaise Early 1900 delightful oval-shaped devotional painting with black ebonized frame containing a stucco maternity signed at the bottom right by the Fontana laminator (on the side two symbols, a reverse three and an incomprehensible five) and below the wording La Vierge à la Chaise in reference to the model of Raphael's Madonna della Seggiola. Some woodworm marks (sanitised) on the frame which is missing the original glass which had to be rounded. In good condition, France, early 1900s.
