"Antique Carved Burmese Shaman Sculpture Late 19th Century"
Antique Sculpture Of Burmese Shaman Late 1800s standing on a square base he is depicted standing with a staff in his left hand and a sort of pumpkin and container in his right hand. He wears a red skirt with yellow-striped decorations and his body tattooed with black circles and stripes suggests a female body due to the presence of pronounced breasts, contrasting, however, with the false beard on his chin and the male headdress. The posture is also particular, the legs (proportionately too short in relation to the torso) are bent as if about to sit. Hand-made of a single piece of wood it is in good condition apart from the integration of the front of the left foot and a small lack at the end of the gourd.
