A c1866 Sèvres egg cup with a central decoration of the cipher of Napoleon III in gold and gilded fillets. From the service of Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte, to become Napoleon III (1852-1870). Known as the “Service à chiffre Dore de l’Empereur Napoleon III”. 6cm (2.4in) high.

Marks: Date mark in a green oval S-66 for 1866. Mark in red of an N surmounted by a crown with doré a sevres and 67 below.
