Firefighter officer's sword, model 1816, Restoration period, 19th century. Vertically fluted ebony stock with spherical pommel and brass mount with 1-branch joint arc. Keyboard decorated in the round with a helmet on two crossed axes surrounded by laurel and oak branches. Small fixed counter keyboard chiseled with a plamette. Blade with flat back, 1 edge and pointed counter edge with central fuller at two thirds. Blade engraved with floral motifs and military attributes and the initials "PDL".
