Pair of finely chiseled bronze candlesticks with rich naturalistic decoration. Each piece is composed of a winged putto holding a cornucopia rising towards a bouquet of flowering stems forming the arms of light. The stems rise lightly in an elegant upward movement, decorated with delicately worked flowers and foliage, supporting several corolla-shaped bobeches. The putti rest on circular bases with rocaille and foliage decorations, finely openworked and sculpted. France 19th century
