Rare Vase Made Of Lithyalin Glass - Sèvres - Landier & Fils - France - 19th/20th Centuries
Lithyalin Glass Vase – Sèvres, Landier & Fils – circa 1900
The body of the vase features a remarkable marbled glass design in celadon green, white, and red, evoking semi-precious stones—particularly agate—a hallmark of the lithyalin glass productions of the Cristallerie de Sèvres.
The piece is enhanced by a rich gilded bronze mount, decorated with foliage, garlands, and ornamental elements, embellished with particularly elegant winged female figures of great decorative quality.
The presence of the Cristallerie de Sèvres stamp on the underside of the piece, where “SÈVRES” and the “L.” mark are visible, is comparable to the Sèvres / L & F (Landier & Fils) stamps found on the manufactory’s other pieces.
This combination of Sèvres lithyalin glass and a richly crafted gilded bronze setting makes it a particularly decorative and sought-after object.
