Important octagonal reliquary, in silver with a red velvet background, decorated with paperolles and a central gilded rosette.

Description

It contains numerous ex ossibus relics carefully arranged and identified by handwritten labels.
We find in particular: • S. Victoris Pp. M. • S. Cornelii Pp. M. • S. Laurentii Mart. • S. Stephani Mart. • S. Urbani Pp. Mart. • S. Apollinaris Ep. S. Lazari Ep
.• and other holy martyrs, popes and confessors.

The reverse is closed with silk threads and an ecclesiastical red wax seal, guaranteeing the authenticity and integrity of the relics.

Condition:

Very good general condition, slight wear from use. Relics and seal intact.
Dimensions: 9 × 8.5 cm.

In accordance with canon law (can. 1190 §1), this sale concerns only the reliquary as an object of sacred art. The relics it contains are not the object of the transaction, but are included free of charge for their historical and cultural value.
