Painter of portraits, landscapes, seascapes, flowers and fruits. Neo-Impressionist. He was a student of Zacharie at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Rouen. Then, with school friends, he formed, around Joseph Delattre, the Rouen Neo-Impressionist School, among whom Pierre Dumont and Narcisse Guilbert are often cited. Following Delattre's example, he focuses on the banks of the Seine near Rouen, the surrounding meadows or the seaside. The moving surfaces of the sky and water are his favorite themes. He exhibited regularly at the Salon des Artistes Rouennais
