18th century wrought iron waffle mold, wedding? The presence of a heart and initials (DC) could suggest a wedding mold. Decorated with a heart topped with an 8-pointed star. For the reete, rustic checkerboard decoration. Typical folk art mold. Forged and assembled with rivets. More or less octagonal shaped handles, we feel the hammer blows that led to this rustic piece which is very heavy. Closure by twisted ring on hook. Very good condition. Rusted and polished.
