German Teapot/Coffee Pot - Late 18th Century. A baluster-shaped pewter teapot with a grooved rim, flared foot, and a domed lid, fitted with a spout extending onto the body. The handle is pewter surmounted by a wooden finial. The piece is not hallmarked. See the reproduction in Boucaud's book, which features a similar piece. Owner's mark on the base: "MF"? Excellent condition. Height including the finial: 26 cm, base diameter: 9 cm
